In European history, what is the difference between Mouros, Moor, Black, N.egro, Nigri Latinis, Ethiopian? All these words have been used by Europeans in order to describe ethnic groups whose homeland is in Africa. Some of them have lived or lived in Europe since the Neolithic. If different words are used for African populations, it is because Europeans established a difference between these African populations. Is the difference related to semantics? Is the difference related to a geographical area in Africa? Is the difference related to historical periods? Is the difference related to genetic connections with Europeans? Is the difference related to connotations of these words? Is the difference related to religious beliefs of these Africans?Mouros:Moor:Black:N.egro:NigriLatinisorMorlacks. Ethiopian:

Right – first the
Moors‘. This term comes from the name of a huge African province of the Roman Empire, which they called Mauritania. It did not occupy quite the same area as the modern country of that name, and its inhabitants became the Berber tribesmen of Morrocco. The question is – why did the Romans call it ‘Mauritania’? It seems they got it from a Greek word ‘Mauros’ it may be that this was the name of a people who lived there, or it could be that it is to do with a Greek word for black, ‘mauros’. The trouble with that theory is that the word ‘mauros’ only came to be used for ‘black’ in a very late form of Greek, so it seems more likely that the word was used by the Greeks for black after theMauros people, and not the other way round.
N.egro. This word is of course the Spanish / Portuguese word for black, and comes directly from the Roman word for black, ‘nigrum’ (when used in the nominative case, this is turned into ‘niger’)Where the Ancient Romans got their word for black is not quite clear, but it is believed that there was a ‘Pre-Indo-European’ word root, *nekw-t- “night,” and that could have been the original.’Nigri.
Latinis‘ looks like it could mean ‘black in Latin’ or just ‘black Latin’, you would have to see more of the structure of the sentence where the words appear. Latin: “belonging to Latium,” the region of Italy around Rome.
Ethiopian: The word first appears around the 14th century, in the form of ‘Ethiop’ – someone who lives in Ethiopia, a n.egro. The word comes from the Greek ‘Aithiops’, and if you go all the way back into really ancient Homeric Greek, that may have originally come from ‘aithein’ = “to burn” + ‘ops’ = “face”~~~On another subject, how do you come to think that Ethiopia/Abyssinia counts as ‘Subsaharan Africa’? It extends in the horn of Africa to the Danakil depression, and was historically firmly seated in the highlands of the Tigray region under the Dʿmt kingdom, which fell in the 5th Century BC. They were replaced by the Axumites, who later became the Abyssinians of the Ethiopian highlands.
Abram Petrovich Gannibal

The legend, in French and Russian, declared that Abram Petrovich Gannibal (Hanibal in French), born in Logone-Birni in 1696 and deceased in Russia in 1781, chief military engineer and general-in-chief of the Imperial Russian Army, was a graduate of the royal artillery academy of La Fère.

Alexander Pushkin

It also noted that he was the great-grandfather of Russia’s greatest poet, Alexander Pushkin.

In Russia, it is common knowledge that Pushkin was descended from an African who was raised to high rank by Czar Peter the Great. Pushkin’s African ancestry was evident in his appearance, and the poet was proud of the heritage, using Gannibal as the model for an unfinished novel known in English as “The Negro of Peter the Great.”

[display_name id=”1″]@ Charles Top ContributorEuro-centric version of history by the descendants of European slavers or colonialists has no historical truth. It is pure racist propaganda and racial brainwashing. When the Moors were defeated in 1492, Europeans embarked on a historical revenge against dark brown skinned people all over the world, including dark brown skinned Africans. The noble and powerful Moors became the stupid and servile Negroes. The word Negro was coined by Portuguese and Spaniards and popularized across Europe as a lame attempt to hide thousands of years of historical and genetic connections between Europeans and dark brown skinned Africans, known as Moors until 15C. Ethiopia was called Morhenland by early German geographers. For millennia, the Moors lived in Europe as founders of the most ancient cities (Therouanne in France) and oldest dynasties (TheMortain of Brittany), early Saints (Saint Zeno), Roman Emperors (Septimus Severus), Popes (Pope Victor), knights (Saint Maurice), creators of the megalithic civilization (theMouros) andin laws of European nobility (Il Moro, Duke of Florence Alessandro de Medici)After their defeat, a large number of Moors were enslaved and sent to America in chains. Millions of other Africans suffered the same fate. Dark skinned Native Americans like thePomis of Arizona or ancient African Americans like theJamasi and many others were massacred.Jamasi is the name of a coastal city in Ghana. No coincidence.African settlements before Columbus in Central and South Americas were destroyed. The existence of the dark brown skinned Olmec and other dark skinned Native Americans was silenced. Studies on the Paleo-indians with dark brown skin and Australoid or Congoid features were discredited or suppressed.MoorsThere are hundreds of place names in Central and South America with African roots that are hard to explain away only by slavery or a group of shipwrecked African sailors. There are rivers, creeks, bays, mountains, hills, streams, islands, with African influenced names. Only people with power and influence could name places like these. There are two rivers Congo (Ecuador and Panama) and dozens of Congo streams. Words Mandinga, Guineo, Guinea are used and used many times over for places. There is a whole region in Nicaragua called Nueva Guinea (New Guinea) . This is no coincidence. The Spaniards and the Portuguese named the land of the Papuans, New Guinea or new land of the Blacks The same Spaniards named a whole region of Nicaragua, Nueva Guinea or new land of the Blacks.
