Africa: Religion and Development in Africa – Blessing or Curse?

African countries are seen as being both deeply religious and underdeveloped. Could religion be the underlying problem? Or is the misrepresentation of faith a hindrance to greater development? Africa is host to the highest number of religious countries in the world, according to a recent Gallop poll. The survey appears to support the prevailing narrative
