Florida teens attack boy and his mom over romantic dispute

A group of Florida teens allegedly ran over the mother of one of their rivals with a van on Tuesday due to an ongoing romantic dispute, police said.

The initial argument started on social media when the woman’s son, whose name has not been released, began arguing with 15-year-old Kimberly Stone.

Stone threatened to “hit” the rival teen and have her boyfriend “handle” the situation, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s office.

Video obtained by ClickOrlando.com shows 18-year-old Elijah Stansell, 16-year-old Raven Sutton, 15-year-old Kimberly Stone and 14-year-old Hannah Eubank arriving at the teen’s house around 3:00 p.m in a dark van.

There, Stansell and Sutton appear to attack the teen while Eubank records on her phone.

The teen’s mother and brother arrived home during the fracas and attempted to stop the beating. While chasing the teens, the mother was allegedly hit by the vehicle driven by Stansell.

One witness, a Polk County utilities employee, managed to follow the teens and provide a 911 operator with details that led to their arrest.

“I’m following a van — you probably just got a phone call — I’m following a van that just ran this lady over,” said the employee.

The employee mentioned that the teens seemed in no rush to get away, he speculated that they had no idea that they were being followed.

“This was a coordinated, planned attack, carried out by a group of teens who beat up a teen then ran over his mother, leaving her for dead. I can’t even fathom teenagers doing something so heinous. Our prayers are with this family,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said.

Stansell and his cohorts have all been charged with attempted felony murder and burglary with assault. Stansell was also charged with lewd and lascivious battery on a minor.

The woman remains in critical condition in the ICU with severe head injuries, a broken leg and lung damage.
