“… the plight of the white working class all the way through the world these days is at once traceable to Negro slavery in The United States, on which up to date commerce and trade was established… The resulting colour caste established and retained with the aid of capitalism became adopted, forwarded and authorised with the aid of white labor, and resulted in subordination of coloured labor to white profits across the world. Thus the bulk of the area’s employees, by the insistence of white labor, become the foundation of a device of trade which ruined democracy and confirmed its ultimate fruit in World Conflict and Melancholy.”
