Sept. 11 mastermind Osama bin Laden may have communicated with his terror associates through secret messages encoded in porn videos, according to a report about a new documentary.
The National Geographic special – titled “Bin Laden’s Hard Drive” – explores the trove of digital materials recovered from the al-Qaeda founder, who was killed by US Navy SEALs in his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, on May 2, 2011, The Sun reported.
The SEAL Team Six members discovered bin Laden’s “fairly extensive” porn collection – though it was unclear whether he had viewed the smut himself, according to the news outlet, which noted that he had several TVs at the compound but no internet or computers.
Among the materials removed by the American special forces were digital thumb drives, which officials believe may have been used by couriers to carry electronic messages to and from bin Laden.
Peter Bergen, a CNN security analyst who was the first Western journalist to interview the terror chief on TV, presents the National Geographic special.
“Exploring these hard drives, it’s clear that digital information can say a lot. Osama bin Laden’s files left behind an imprint of a complex man, responsible for the murder of thousands of people,” Bergen said, according to The Sun.
“History will remember him for that but, in order to cut through the perception of this ascetic in a cave on a holy crusade, it’s important for us to see how he crafted the videos that went out to his followers,” he said.
“Understanding him is vital in order to combat other potential bin Ladens in the future,” Bergen added.
The documentary comes as bin Laden’s niece warn that another 9/11-style attack may be just around the corner.
“ISIS proliferated under the Obama/Biden administration, leading to them coming to Europe. Trump has shown he protects America and us by extension from foreign threats by obliterating terrorists at the root and before they get a chance to strike,” Noor bin Ladin, 33, told The Post in her first-ever interview.
The Swiss-born Bin Ladin, who spells her name differently than her infamous uncle, said she considers herself “an American at heart” – and says she is all in for President Trump in 2020.
“Bin Laden’s Hard Drive” will premiere on National Geographic on Sept. 10.
