As of March 27, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from 55 African countries reached 4,164,880 while over 6,230,004 vaccinations have been administered across the continent.
Reported deaths in Africa reached 111,537 and 3,756,434 people have recovered. South Africa has the most reported cases – 1,543,079 – and 52,602 people died. Other most-affected countries are Morocco ( 493,867 ), Tunisia ( 248,782 ), Egypt ( 198,681 ), Ethiopia ( 196,621 ), and Nigeria ( 162,388 ).
